Profile information: School name, classes taught, subjects taught, and phone number (optional)
Usage data: Exam papers you create and save within the Service

We use the information we collect to:

Provide, operate, and maintain the ExamCrafts Service
Personalise your experience (e.g. auto-filling your subject and class preferences)
Save and retrieve your exam papers
Send important service updates or account-related notifications
Improve and develop new features

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes.

3. Google Sign-In

If you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address, and profile photo from Google. We use this information solely to create and manage your ExamCrafts account. Our use of Google user data complies with Google's API Services User Data Policy.

4. Data Storage

Your data is stored securely using Google Firebase (Firestore and Firebase Authentication), which is hosted on Google Cloud infrastructure. Data is protected by Firebase security rules that ensure only you can access your own information.

5. Data Retention

We retain your account and exam paper data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will remove your personal data within 30 days.

6. Your Rights

You have the right to:

Access the personal data we hold about you
Request correction of inaccurate data
Request deletion of your account and associated data
Export your data

7. Cookies

ExamCrafts uses browser sessionStorage and localStorage to maintain your session and remember your preferences (such as your email for the "Remember me" feature). We do not use third-party tracking cookies.

8. Children's Privacy

ExamCrafts is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with their information, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by email or by posting a notice on the Service. Your continued use of ExamCrafts after any changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
